The Glossop Creates team got their glad rags on for a creative awards ceremony in Derby, where the campaign was up for an award in the Best Creative and Digital startup category.

Mainframe is an initiative that aims to bring together a community of digital and creative business across Derbyshire, enabling real business growth, and the awards celebrate the sector within the county.

It was one of just three regional initiatives to be nominated in the category - a huge accolade for the team and Glossop's wider creative community, which has come together to collaborate and support Glossop Creates' campaigns since December 2020.

On the night, the team narrowly lost out to Inside Theatre, but enjoyed the evening's proceedings and made connections with the wider creative community.

On the evening, category judge Karen Newman, founder and director of BOM, praised Glossop Creates saying it was a "fantastic platform for makers which is really reinvigorating the creative economy and helping to raise the profile of Glossop and really position the area as a creative hotbed of talent."

Claire Tymon, founder of Glossop Creates and LOCAL, which initiated the platform, said: "We are so pleased to have been nominated for the Best Creative Startup award at Mainframe, and we cannot wait to enter more awards so we can further shout about our town and its incredible creative community.
