An update by Steven Dexter, Community Producer
The Love Glossop Support Local campaign has been a brilliant initiative for Glossop Creates, and one which we are very proud to be involved in, collaborating with our friends at Dark Peak Press.
When we started Glossop Creates, we wanted to harness the collective power of the town's wonderful creatives and independent businesses for economic and social good. We boast such a wonderful array of indie shops, makers, artists and artisan food and drink outlets in Glossop, and it's been simply fantastic watching the town come together to support each other after a tough year.
The community has really gotten behind us too, and over the last few weeks we have shared two amazing films that we have made to show off the Love Glossop Support Local campaign. The first video about the High Street was put together by local filmmaker and photographer, Richard Tymon and Video Producer Simon Stec, with a score from Daniel Whibley of Carrot Productions, and the second, which focuses on our amazing food and drink scene, was created by Greenbrook Media. The response has been amazing! If you haven't had the chance to see the video yet, please head to our Facebook, Instagram or Twitter pages to have a look... Excitingly, we have some more video content in the pipeline, so watch this space!

What's next?
So what's next? We also have some events and projects in the pipeline, with a busking event in the centre of town from professional, classically trained musicians, a family ‚"rave" from the Playhouse Project and much more in the future that we can't mention yet!
As far as Glossop Creates is concerned, we are busy supporting local creatives behind the scenes with numerous initiatives, such as mentoring programmes, artists commissions and other schemes to make the arts more visible in our town.
We are pleased to say that our website and directory now boasts over 80 local businesses and individuals. If you're ever in need of a creative service, an arts club for your children or somewhere fantastic to eat or drink, check out our listings section. For local artisan gifts, we have an online Marketplace. To browse what’s on in Glossop, see our events listings (list your own events and business/service for free). Please make the site your first port of call for supporting local wherever you can.
If you have an idea for a creative event, business or project and would like some help to make it happen, or if you need any other creative support or have questions and advice for us, please get in touch with me at steven@glossopcreates.com. We are very excited about the future of our town and are determined to be part of what makes it special. See you soon!
