Writer/Artist Michelle Collier is back at George Street Community Bookshop this Autumn, with her mushroom-inspired residency: MYCOMYTHOPOEIA.
Over the next few weeks, Michelle invites you – the Glossop community – to explore the bookshop through the lens of mushrooms and mycorrhizal networks – where stories, knowledge and ideas are what nourishes the bookshop network. And where our collective creative outputs are the fruiting bodies!
There are lots of ways to get involved over the coming weeks:
THE MUSHROOM MAP
Drop by the bookshop anytime in October and November to add to a mushroom spotters map – a collective impression of Glossop’s mushrooms and ancient mycelial networks.
MUSHROOM GROWING – Sat 28th Oct
Sign up for a free mushroom growing workshop in the bookshop, turning old books into organic sculptures.

All events are FREE and delivered in collaboration with George Street Community Bookshop as part of Michelle’s artist residency. They are friendly, relaxed and informal – so come along to try something new.
