Our next Glossop Creates Network meeting is coming soon, and we can’t wait to reconnect with our local creative community. The meeting has again kindly been supported by Create Growth as part of the Derbyshire Creative Networking Project to support local creative businesses.
This meeting will coincide with the end of our upcoming art trail- End of the Line, making it a perfect opportunity to celebrate and reflect on all the amazing work that has been showcased!
Agenda
- You will hear from the Local/ Glossop Creates team about the End of the Line trail, what we have planned and our new office space in Glossop.
- Special guest Lucinda White, Award Writer & Managing Director at Pure Awards www.pureawards.co.uk, and one of the University of Derby’s Experts in Residence through the Create Growth programme will explain the support she can offer through the Expert in Residence programme. This includes supporting organisations in bid writing, a proofreading service and webinars on writing compelling and competitive grant applications.
- Arts, Culture and Heritage Officer for The High Peak, Joanne Blunt will give us an update on the development of the High Peak Cultural Strategy, a plan that will impact all of us for the next decade. Joanne will gather feedback and insights from our creative community, helping shape the future of culture in our area. Your voice is crucial—don’t miss this chance to contribute!
- There will be quick fire updates from YOU, the creative community. Take the floor for 60 seconds to update the group, leaving time for people to find each other and discuss collaboration opportunities afterwards.
- The rest of the evening is free for us to network, chat and enjoy eachothers company. Some of the artworks from End of the Line will be on display for the Network Meeting, so you can get a closer look at the fabulous work.
There will be a bar with a variety of drinks available and Two Hares will showcase tasters of their new Glossop Pie, with a secret winberry jelly recipe for you to try! Take a look at that below.
