With Glossop Arts Project, The Bureau and Glossop Creates

Glossop Creates has teamed up with the Glossop Arts Project and The Bureau to develop a list of support lines, services and other useful links in our effort to help our local, creative community and independent businesses, should they need them.   Please note: This blog will be updated regularly with new information on grants, training and support services over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled. We will also update our social media channels as and when we find out more information.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR HEALTH & WELLBEING

Glossop Arts Project

Glossop Arts Project is a not-for-profit community-based project bringing Art to life! We offer creative sessions within a stimulating atmosphere to promote freedom of artistic expression, enhance social inclusion and wellbeing. Our welcoming, friendly and inclusive principles inspire people to try new activities, learn and improve skills, and build self-confidence.

The Bureau

The Bureau - Glossop's community wellbeing charity - works with the belief that all members of the community will have both support needs of their own and the capacity to support others at various times in their lives ‚ in some cases simultaneously. It is our mission to identify and link together community needs and solutions to enable people to live independently and improve the quality of life for local communities.

SUPPORTING YOUR INDEPENDENT AND CREATIVE PRACTICE

Glossop Creates

Glossop Creates aims to support, nurture and empower the local creative community to create the change they want to see. If you have a business or project idea, or want to set up a new space, or need to find funding to help realise your ideas, we‚Äôre here to help. We do this through a number of opportunities:

  • We host regular networking events for creative, food and drink and music individuals and businesses, encouraging people to get together and talk, share ideas and challenges and find ways to work together to improve business and celebrate the town.
  • We curate a series of artist residency programmes called Pairings where we pair an artist or creative practitioner with an issue or theme.
  • We host a website which is a directory of creatives and independent businesses operating in the Glossopdale area. The website also has an events calendar, an online marketplace for artisans and a section for blogs, inviting local people to write articles to support and promote local talent.
  • We have recently set up a new studio and shop called KIN.DER - at The Gasworks, Arundel Street. Please drop in and have a chat, meet the team and get involved!
