Join artist/writer Michelle Collier for a nature-inspired creative writing workshop, as part of MYCOMYTHOPOEIA – an artist residency with George Street Community Bookshop.
Come along to inhabit the spirit of mycelium and spread your mental hyphae out into the bookshop in search of creative inspiration. Then turn those nutrients into poetic fruiting bodies. (Think: mind of the mushroom meets dada poet!).
This writing workshop is all about exploration and experimentation. We’ll be creating poems and myths in miniature, inspired by nature and the books at the bookshop. Anyone is welcome, even if it’s your first go at creative writing

ABOUT THE RESIDENCY
This event is part of MYCOMYTHOPOEIA – an artist residency at George Street Community Bookshop, exploring the bookshop through the lens of mycorrhizal networks.
Across October and November, Michelle will be inviting the local community to reimagine the bookshop through the lens of mushrooms and mycelium – where stories, ideas and knowledge are what nourishes the bookshop network. And where the ‘fruiting bodies’ are our collective creative outputs.
